Christmas Day Holiday will be held on Tuesday, December 25th – The Bahamas have adopted many of the same traditions and customs of other countries when it comes to celebrating Christmas i.e. gift-giving, Christmas cards and having a Christmas feast. However, there will be many carnivals and festivals celebrated all over The Bahamas on Christmas Day, be sure to check them out!

Boxing Day Holiday will be held Wednesday, December 26th – Junkanoo parades will be taking place on the islands to commemorate and honor Boxing Day and the History and meaning behind this day. You won’t want to miss out on the cultural costumes, music, and dancing!

Majority Rule Day Holiday will be held on Thursday, January 10th. This is considered one of the most important holidays throughout The Bahamas, it only became a public holiday in 2014, however, its impact is significate and powerful. Majority Rule Day commemorates The Bahamas gaining majority rule for the first time since 1967. This holiday symbolizes equality and promise for all Bahamians.
